Just Dance!!

Just thought I would give you a sneak peek of Maddy in her dance costume. She had dance pics on Sunday, so I also took a couple of her. Dance recital is May 30th at 2 pm at the Auditorium, she also has dress rehearsal on the 27th at 5:30, let me know if you are interested in coming to watch her dance!!!

Budweiser Clydesdales

The Bud Clydesdales were in town this past week, so the kids and I went downtown while the horses delivered beer to bars downtown. They loved seeing the horses , but Maddy was disappointed that she didn't get to pet one. The week before she got to pet two horses, & go for a wagon ride while we were at the farmer's market. Tanner had fun waving to the horses and people as they walked by us. We followed them for about 2 blocks and Tanner waved for most of the walk. Chad and I took the kids to see the Clydesdales at Fun City on Saturday, and they got to pet the dog that rides on the wagon, which was really neat! They had a great time..it could be a once in a lifetime experience for them (unless we take them to Grant's Farm in St. Louis).

Mother's Day

Hope all of you had a great Mother's Day! I did!! The daycare kids and I painted flower pots for their moms and I planted a flower in them, they turned out really cute and they had a great time making them. Madison and Tanner made a flower pot for Nana and Grandma, they also made a few for me...Madison was having fun painting, so I let her make more pots! For Mother's Day we went to Gator's with all of Chad's family, then we went to see my family. It was fun getting to see both of our families, then we took the kids for a boat ride in Leah and Matt's new boat! They had a great time, Madison wanted to take her swimsuit, we told her we would have to wait till in warmed up before she could go swimming! She loves the river and always wants to drive by so she can see it. This was Tanner's 1st boat ride!!!

He liked it at first and had fun looking at the river, we think he thought it was like a big bath tub (if he hears the water start to run in the bathroom, he is in there trying to climb into the tub). He had fun when we went inside an island and he got to walk around the boat. He didn't have a good nap yesterday since we went out to lunch and then to Nana and Papa's house, so he feel asleep while we were out on the river, he woke up screaming when we started going fast. He cried until we got back to the docks! So next time we go out on the river, I will make sure he gets a nap!! Overall is was a great Mother's Day, but the weekend went way too fast!! I have a feeling though that the next few weekends are going to be like that!!

Pictures at the park

For Mother's Day I took the kids to the park to get a few pictures of them for Nana and Grandma. Madison was a ham like always and Tanner was more interested in picking up sticks then to look at me! All of the pictures turned out really cute and I can't wait to take them back to the park to take more!!
