Happy 1st Birthday Tanner

Where has the last year gone??? In just a few hours on the 28th, Tanner will be one! Chad and I were just talking about where the last year went and how Tanner can't already be a year old! We had his birthday party tonight at Happy Joes. Tanner ate 2 1/2 pieces of pizza, he is a growing boy! He did open a few of his gifts, but Madison also helped. I think she was getting jealous that he was getting all the attention. Tanner got some new toys and a few outfits. I am going to have to figure out where to put everything! Chad & I saved the gifts from us, so he has something to open tomorrow. We got him the Little People Petting Zoo, and a few outfits, and Madison picked out a lawn mower. I also had bought him a pair of Nike tennis shoes, but I already gave those to him, since he out grew his other ones overnight. Tanner loved eating his birthday cake and was really messy when he was done. He seemed to enjoy the frosting alot! I am hoping that he sleeps all night after eating all that sugar!

Happy Holidays

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! The Klein family did and my house is proof that the kids are spoiled! We went to my parent's on Christmas Eve, and the kids opened presents, which they got lots of. We woke the kids up Christmas morning at 7 (we had to be at my Grandparent's at 10), Maddy was very excited! She told us that Santa was awesome!! Tanner wasn't sure what to do, so Madison did help him open a few things. Madison got some new clothes, a dance bag, a barbie doll, kids digital camera, and a few other small things. Tanner got a Tonka truck that he can walk with or ride on, some new clothes, and a few other small toys. We went to my Grandparent's house also Christmas morning and they got even more toys and clothes, we are still trying to figure out where to put things. After opening gifts and eating brunch we can back home and did Christmas with the Klein side of the family, the kids got even more things. Madison was maybe a little disappointed Christmas morning because a week before Christmas she started asking for a pee pee baby, but Santa was done shopping, but Uncle Andrew got it for her, it was the last present she opened and she was so excited. She had fun playing with Grandma Rose and the baby. She also took it with us yesterday and the baby said she was thirsty and Maddy told her she would have to wait till we got home because we had forgot her cup (I must have said that to her sometime). It was soooo cute! We have been very busy the last few days and I am ready for things to calm down, but I am not sure if that will ever happen. My Grandma that I am very close to had a mini stroke last night and I am having a hard time with it. Yesterday we were at her old apartment packing and when I got home my mom called & told me that my Grandma was being taken to the hospital. I still don't know what is going on with her, I think it finally hit me last night that my Grandma isn't going to be around forever. I also realized that if something happens to her it will affect Madison. I call my Grandma a few times a day to check on her and just to talk, and most days Maddy gets on the phone because she wants to talk to Grandma. Please everyone keep her and my family in your prayers and I will try and update soon.

what a week

What a week we have had, where do I start?? After Sundays van problems I didn't think the week could get worse, but I think or rather know that it did. Monday morning Madison woke up and she had a stomach bug, she kept mommy up for a few hours, so took the day off from work. When she woke up after sleeping for a few hours she kept telling me that her ear had something in it, so my friend took the kids and I to drop off the van keys to the tow truck drivers (the van had to be towed to Shottenkirk on Ft. Madison), and off to the ear doctor we went. Her tube is not connected, but she has a ear infection. We have to do ear drops 2 times a day and she goes back to the doctor on Christmas Eve to get the tube out. Tuesday I got my van back, the brake line was frozen, then it snowed. Wednesday Tanner woke up at 6 and he had a stomach bug. So mommy called all the parents and I stayed home with him, but that was a good thing, because my stomach started hurting. Tanner was acting better by the afternoon, but when Chad got home from work, I went to bed, & he was in charge of the kiddos. Thursday everyone was feeling better, and I decided that I was not giving Tanner his bottle back. I didn't give him one when he was sick, & he loves his sippy cups, so far he has gone 3 days without one. Thursday night we got the ice storm, and we hung out as a family. Today I had the day off again, a few kids went to Grandmas and some stayed home, the kids and I stayed in our jammies all day. I don't blame anyone for not getting out in the ice, I sure didn't want to. Chad is now saying that he doesn't feel well, some guys at work have been sick and he is working outside in this nasty weather. Hopefully tomorrows weather is ok, I still have a little shopping to do, and we have the Klein family Christmas tomorrow night. Hope next week everyone in the Klein family is over being sick, we are gonna have a BUSY week. We are having a Christmas party and gift exchange Monday with the daycare kids, and I can't wait. I will have at least 10 kids here and maybe my little sister and brother, and I have 40 sugar cookies for them to decorate, itwill be lots of fun. Hope everyone has a Very Merry Christmas!!

The Holiday Season is in full swing

Hello everyone hope all of you are safe at home. The kids and I had a close call tonight, but more on that later. Today we celebrated Christmas with the women on my dad's side. We haven't gotten together for two years I think, we had the party at the American Inn. Madison had fun swimming with the older kids and Tanner got to play with his cousin who is 2 months older than him. We ate way too much food and we played the dirty Santa game. I ended up with a glass bowl, not sure what I will do with it, I am scared that it may get broken. I had a really cute snowman trio that my mom brought, but someone took it (that's what happens in the dirty Santa game), good thing I know where my mom got it at. Tanner got so new balls to play with, that he loved, Madison got a new barbie and some rings, my Aunt works for Clinque so Madison's favorite gift was the lip stick. Every time we are at the mall, she has to go see Ruthann to get lip gloss. The weather was nice when we got to the party, but when the kids and I were leaving, it was not so nice. My van was frozen, so I let it run to get the doors to open, then the kids and I started on our way home. We got to the frontage road just fine, then next thing I know my van is acting funny, and then my ABS service light came on, and the stability control service light, and the traction control light. I pulled into the mall and called Chad, who was at home, he told me to try and drive where there were no cars, and try to get the brakes to unfreeze. He thought maybe they were frozen or there was ice on them, so I did that, & it didn't make a difference. He ended up coming to get us, because while I was driving a guy stopped me and said my rear tire wasn't moving (no wonder I was having a hard time). I called Chad again, crying this time, he ended up getting us, I was scared & frustrated since I had the kids, and the car wasn't driveable. Chad tried to get the wheel to unlock, but it wouldn't, so the van is at the mall. I am praying that no one hits it, we might have to have it towed to Shottenkirk, but luckily it is still under warranty. So our good day turned into a stressful one. Hope everyone stays safe in this nasty weather.

Maddy by the tree, in the lighted holiday parade.

Tanner wearing Madison's glasses, ready to hunting with daddy, and eating his chicken nuggets like a big boy.

My little man

My little boy is really a boy...Tanner is starting to bang toys on the table and throw things! I can't believe it, he is into everything. I think that he is going to be rowdy. He loves cars, he likes to drive them on the floor, and the table. He likes to tackle and climb on anybody who is on the floor. Tonight I was trying to take a picture of the kids in front of the Christmas tree, and Tanner was to busy. Maddy & I were giving him things to hold and he wanted no part in it. I got out the booster seat and he thought that was fun to sit like a big boy. But when he has made up his mind, that is it. He is going to keep me on my toes! Madison had dance tonight, I think on Fridays I am not going to tell her that it's dance day, she had her clothes ready to go before 9 this morning, she has dance at 4. She also loves the snow, when we got to dance today she was impressed that it had snowed there too. I am ready for all the snow to melt and for winter to be over!! Hope all is well with everyone, the Klein family is going to be busy the next few weeks, but it should be fun...enjoy the new pics, Krystal

Where did the last few days go???

Wow the last few days have flown by! The Klein family has been really busy & not feeling the best. I think that I have had a cold for almost 3 weeks and both the kids have had runny noses and a cough on and off. I am ready for all of us to be healthy again. We spent Thanksgiving at Leah & Matt's for lunch, & had to leave shortly after eating to go to my Grandparent's. We got to see some family that we don't get to see often. We had a great time at both places, we are very thankful for our families and also our friends! On Friday like a Crazy person, I went shopping. I still didn't feel well and was up with Madison most of the night, but I still left our house around 4 am. I met up with Tiffany and Brenda and we were done shopping by 10 am. Last year we ended up going out-of-town and didn't get home till 10 pm, so I think we did ok this year. Friday was also Chad's 28th birthday, (Tanner also turned 11 months) so we all went out to breakfast, (when we got home I took a nap...I was so tired from only getting maybe 3 hours of sleep)& then dinner. On Saturday, Chad went hunting, & Maddy & I finished decorating the tree. Maddy thought it was fun to put the ornaments on the tree...I kept telling her to put them all over the tree, not just in one place. We got the tree done and it does look nice. After that it was time to get ready for the lighted holiday parade, Madison was so excited to ride on the American Cancer Society float. Leah, Katelyn, & Ethan also got to ride with us, everyone had a great time. Chad and I started talking about maybe my daycare having a float in the parade next year, but we will have to see (that is still a year away). After the parade Maddy and Tanner went to my mom's to spend the night. On Sunday, Chad and I went shopping around town. We still have a few more presents to buy, but we have quite a bit done. I love shopping for everyone, but now I have to start wrapping all the gifts and hiding them from Madison. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I will try and get pics up soon from the parade.

WOW...they are growing so fast....

The last few weeks have been really busy for our family, and we have had lots of firsts. Both of the kids has check ups for their tubes, and Maddy had one that was in her ear chanel, so they took it out, she has had them in for over a year & a half. Tanner finally let them do a hearing test, and he passed, so we are hoping that they are done with ear infections for awhile. While at the doctor, Tanner took 2 steps from Chad to me. Soon he will be walking all over. Last Friday , Chad and I also got to go and watch Madison at dance class. She was so excited that we got to go (Nana, Papa, & Uncle Zach were also so there, Aunt Ali helps assist in the class), she did really well and I am excited to see her at recital. Yesterday, Maddy went to her first friend birthday party without mom and dad. She couldn't wait to go, & she had lots of fun. And today Madison got her big girl bed!!! She has been in her toddler bed for quite sometime. I can't believe how fast the kids are growing up, in a month and a half, Tanner will be a year old! Where has the last year went????
Hello everyone! I thought I would try blogging some about our family to keep everyone up-to-date about our crazy busy family. Let me know what you think or if you decide to start your own.
