Update

Thought I would update about the hit and run situation. Looks like Chad and I will be out $100 for the accident. Chad talked to the cop Wednesday & he couldn't track the lady down, he tried some different addresses, but didn't have any luck. I think we should tell him to try facebook, I have 6 mutual friends with her, but I'm sure since she took off she doesn't have insurance. I also feel like if you leave the accident scene either on a private or public property, you should get a ticket! It's time for people to step up and be responsible! Ok well here's to hoping Chad will get my van fixed soon after the part gets ordered and delivered.

I just need to vent....

Ugh...frustrated, irritated, upset, that's just some of my words to describe my day!

Well maybe not the whole day, but my afternoon. Today started off great, Chad got up with the kids while I slept in (my needed after the busy last few days), we relaxed for a bit, then went to the mall. We got a bite to eat for lunch, then Maddy and I headed to get my haircut, while Chad and Tanner went to US Cellular to see what they could do about his phone. After my haircut, Chad and T came back to the mall to get us, then we headed back to get his new cell phone. Then we headed to his mom's, he helped her move her stove, then we left the kids there and went to the grocery store.

That's where things went downhill. We were doing our shopping and they came over the speaker and asked for the owner of the car with a license plate to come to customer service. I told Chad I thought that the plate that they said sounded like our plate number, but I couldn't remember what mine was exactly. So he went to check while I continued our shopping. He came back and I was up towards the front of the store and he motioned for me to come, so I did, that's when he told me someone hit my van and left. I was upset that someone would take off after damaging my car. There were some people at the desk that had seen it all and got the plate of the other driver, thank goodness there are some people who are willing to help others out! We called the police, Chad stayed and waited for them to get there, while I finished our shopping. When I was done, the cop was just getting there, so we went outside and Chad went to talk to the officer, while I loaded the groceries into the car. There were 2 other ladies that had seen the accident and they told the officer what they had seen and gave them a description of the car, and he ran the plates and the number and description matched, but the officer said they lady had 2 different address listed. They broke out my driver's side taillight and left a small scratch on the side panel. The officer was going to go by the address that was listed in town and see if the other car was there and if so, check and see if she has insurance. I hope so! I don't feel like paying for damage to my vehicle that I didn't cause! She won't get a ticket since we were on private property, but the least they could do, is pay for my car. Sorry I just had to rant. I guess today made me realize that I take for granted how trusting I am of other people. I'm hoping we get a new police report with her insurance information, but I am not going to hold my breath.

Happy Busy New Year

Wow the last few days have been crazy! I am ready for everything to slow down and for all of us to get into our normal routines!

On New Year's Eve, we took the kids to Carlos O'Kelly's for dinner, we were joined by my mom, Zach, Grandma Rose, & Grandpa Bob also joined us. We had a great time, after dinner we came home and watched movies. I'm not sure if anyone stayed awake till midnight...maybe next year!

On Saturday, Tanner started having cold symptoms, so Sunday we had a pajama day, which was so nice and very needed! The last few weeks have just been so crazy busy, we all needed a day to relax! Monday Tanner was up playing for awhile, then he crawled on the couch and didn't move far for the rest of the night. I ended up calling the doctor's office and talking to our nurse to see what she recommend, she thought maybe he needed to be seen. He had been sick since Saturday and he wasn't eating, or sleeping well. I took him in on Tuesday, and he was put on an antibiotic, which he didn't want to take and it had to be taken with food, and we couldn't get him to eat. Tuesday night all he wanted to do was sleep, and if you know T, he does like his sleep, but he also loves to play with his toys. He ended up having a fever of 102, and it took awhile for us to get it to break. When we finally did, he was starting to act more like himself, too bad it didn't last. The last 2 days he plays for awhile, then he needs to rest for a bit, I think he might finally be feeling better..hope he continues to get over this illness, because this momma is worn out!

Wednesday we had all sorts of things planned...but with T being sick we had to change our plans a little. Chad and I both took Wed off, my dad was having his knee replaced and Chad took off to stay with the kids, while I was at the hospital. I also changed my doctor's appointment to Wed so we could take both kids with us, but luckily Grandma Lottie came to the rescue and kept the kids so Chad could go with me to my appointment. I went to the hospital and then Chad met me before my appointment. My dad's surgery went well, and we took the kids to see him tonight. I think he was happy to see the kids, and I think he was happy when we left, because he looked worn out. They got him up and walking twice today, so he was having some pain, we didn't stay long so he could get some rest. I'm hoping Tanner will be doing even better, so we can stop out at the hospital again tomorrow night.

While waiting for my dad to get out of surgery we walked over to my 22 week OB appointment. We saw the doctor that delivered Maddy, and we were able to set up my c-section and we made an appointment for an ultrasound. The baby will have a May 6th birthday, but we don't know the sex of the baby yet...the legs were crossed during the ultrasound:-( We were really hoping to find out what we are having, but no such luck. The doctor did tell me though that we might have a"reason" to have another ultrasound done, or we are talking about going to a place in Davenport just to find out. We would like to know so that we can start buying some things now, and eventually get the crib ready. I still say it's a boy. The heartbeat was 146, Maddy and Tanner both had higher heartbeats, Tanner also kept his legs crossed, so we couldn't tell with him either! I'm really just guessing boy, but for all I know it could be a girl.

Well I need to head to bed, the last few days/weeks are catching up with me.

Tanner is 3!

Tanner recently celebrated his 3rd birthday! It is hard to believe that he is 3 already, but he is!
Happy 3rd Birthday!!
We had a 1/2 birthday party for him this summer, since his birthday is December 28th, we decided to start a new tradition with him. We had a big bbq with lots of friends and family, so for his birthday, we took him to Happy Joes. He enjoyed pizza, playing games, eating yummy cake made by Grandma Rose, and opening a few gifts. Since the schools are on break over his birthday, Aunt Alexa and Uncle Zach spent the night & we took him out for lunch with Cammie and Tiffany. Then that night after daddy came home we went to Nana and Papa's house to visit with them and see Aunt Bettie and Uncle Cal, who were visiting from Joliet, IL. He had a busy birthday!

The Birthday Boy and Madison

Winner!!

Tanner loves to play toys, any toys from cars, trains, barbies, baby dolls. He loves the Toy Story movies, and also Cars. He says some funny, random things, we think sometimes he just talks to hear his own voice. He is all boy. His nicknames are T, TT, Bubba, Tan man. We love him so much and he is going to be a great big brother!!
