It's A.....

I had my 28 week check-up yesterday, and I was there longer than planned, but all is well, & we got some exciting news. I went in for my glucose test and while there the doctor was doing the routine check, & while she was measuring me, she thought I was measuring big...so she ordered another ultrasound. And I asked if they could tell the sex of the baby, to please let me know, & the tech saw and told the doctor. When I went back in to the room to talk to the doctor, she told me that we could be having a big baby BOY! I am 28 weeks and I'm measuring at 32 weeks, but the baby is already 2 lbs 9 oz according to the ultrasound, so we could be having a large baby. Tanner was almost 9 lbs, but everything looks well, he's just a healthy, growing boy. I go back in 2 weeks again, so I will let you know how that appointment goes!

Baby Update

Last Thursday I was able to venture out to my 26 week check-up, the roads were horrible from the Blizzard, but I made it. The babies heartbeat was 146, and everything is going well with the pregnancy. I do go back next Friday for my glucose test, then I will start going every 2 weeks. When the doctor told me that, that's when it hit me that we will be have a new addition to our family in 13 weeks! Ugh!!! That doesn't sound too far off anymore!

I did schedule an ultrasound in Davenport for later this month, we are taking the kids up with us and are going to spend the day in the Quad Cities. It should be a fun day and I hope the baby cooperates, so we can start getting the things we need. I will continue to keep you all posted....until next time...

Illness and Snow

Illness:
What a week it has been already..I'm exhausted! Last Friday night Tanner kept having bad dreams, he was up at least 4 different times. In one of his dreams, Madison threw him in the trash! They have been off the wall dreams and he usually wakes up screaming..I hope he outgrows this soon. Then Saturday night, Madison started running a fever, so I had a camp out in the living room with the kids. She continued running a fever all day Sunday, & then I started feeling like I was getting a sinus infection, so luckily Chad and Tanner took care of us all day. I took her to the doctor Monday, & she was put on some meds, but she still isn't feeling 100% and neither am I. This morning Tanner woke up and was acting like he didn't feel well, he has been crabby all day...hoping we all start feeling better soon!
This is what we woke up too this morning. Chad and the neighbor had cleared our sidewalks 2 different times last night, & you couldn't tell that they had done any of it this morning.
Snow:
Yesterday the snow started....we ended up getting 14 inches. I don't ever remember getting 14 inches at one time! The wind was also really strong, so we ended up with some big snow drifts! Chad spent most of the day using the snow blower to clear all the sidewalks at our house and he also helped lots of our family members dig out also. He is very sore from working so hard. The plows haven't cleared all the side streets yet, so we might have to dig out my van and his work car again. School was cancelled today and has already been cancelled for tomorrow. Alexa and Zach came home with Chad, who went out to their house to snow blow. My dad is still mending from his knee replacement, so Chad went out to help dig their cars out. He also got my dad's big snow blower started, so he brought it home to clean our parking spots. While Ali and Zach were over for the afternoon, we took the kids out in the snow for just a few minutes. They had fun, but we didn't stay out too long. When Chad was done trying to dig our cars out, we loaded up in the truck and headed for my parents. Ali and Zach came back home with us since school has been cancelled for tomorrow. I am hoping the plow doesn't block us back in too bad when they go by later tonight or tomorrow!
Madison with Aunt Ali ready to climb the mountains of snow!
Tanner ready to play in the snow....too bad the snow piles and drifts were taller than him in some places!
Chad hard at work!
Tanner told me he was going to get my car out for me...he is such a sweet boy!
I have a doctor's appointment scheduled for tomorrow, I am only going to have 1 daycare kiddo, so if I can get out and I'm feeling better, I might try to go. So I will try to update after my appointment.
