what we have been up to

We have been a little busy since Chad got home last Saturday. On Sunday we took the kids back to the park for a picnic lunch and playtime. They love playing there, so I think we might spend lots of time there this summer! Maddy was excited to go and show daddy the park, we also got some great pictures of her!

Enjoying their lunches, but ready to go play on the equipment.

She went and posed all by herself..she is quite a ham!

Maddy also enjoyed the flowers.

Tanner wouldn't lay on the grass...so I put him on Madison's back..he of course kept trying to jump on her.

Heading towards the lake at the park...see they really do like each other....sometimes!!

Today the daycare kids and I went down to the Port of Burlington with the help of my cousin for Art in the Port. We had 2- 18 month olds, a 20 month old (my cousin's little girl), a 2 year old, 2 3 year olds, a 4 year old, a 6 year old, and a 8 year old! Wow that is a lot of little ones...but they were awesome! I am so proud of my kids, they were very well behaved and we had a great time!! They made a few crafts at the port, but we also brought a few home with us to finish.

Tanner and his balloon..that was all he wanted after seeing other kids with them!

The awesome group! Madison, Natalie, Blake, Tanner (he was busy playing with his balloon & looking at the river), Mallory, Makaylin, Morgan, Baylee, Cameron.....it is very hard to get this many kids to look at the camera at the same time!!!

Madison~ she likes to wear her mask to scare us!

After the last few days I am tired and need to rest up so we can take the kids to Steamboat Days for kids day on Friday (let's hope the rain stays away)! Madison also really wants to ride the Ferris wheel, and maybe a few more rides, we will see what the week brings!!!

Chad's Fishing Trip

Chad made it home from Canada safely. The kids and I are glad he is back! He had a great time, they caught lots of fish, did a fly-in, saw some black bears and moose! Here are a few pics from his trip...some are a little blurry (might of been my camera, or... the beer?!?) Enjoy!

Dads away..mommy and the kids play!

This week Chad is in Canada fishing with the guys, my dad, 2 brothers, grandpa, and my unlce. He has been planning on going on this trip for sometime now. He left last Friday and won't be back home till saturday sometime. So the kids and I have been spending lots of time together! We have been spending time outside and we wnet to the park to play.

Madison & Tanner love to swing!

Tanner loved being able to run around the playground.

The slide was also a big hit with the kids.

Tanner liked going down the slide, then he decided to climb up the slide, that didn't work as he planned and he layed on the slide.

Madison was too busy playing to let me take many pictures of her!

Mommy and the monsters! Tanner was ready to go down the big slide with us, not have his picture taken!

We have been having fun while daddy is gone, but we are ready for him to be home with us again!!

Madison's Solo Performance!

Last Saturday Madison was asked to do a solo at the Mediapolis nursing home. My mom's friend, Jennifer, works there and her daughter's dance with my sister Alexa. It was lots of fun watching Madison doing something she loves so much!
Dancing her class routine to Yes, I Can
She asked me when she was done why the other girl's got to dance more than she did.

Dance recitial and Graduation

Ali (my sister) with Maddy at recital.

The girls after the show.

Last week was a crazy week!! We had dress rehearsal on Wednesday night for dance recital, and then Ben's (my brother) graduation, dance recital, and then the graduation ceremony over the weekend! Maddy did very well at dress rehearsal and at recital! My mom helped me get her ready for the show. Maddy is such a girly girl, she loved getting her hair curled and make up on...it is fun watching her dance. She did so well that she has been asked to do a solo this weekend at a nursing home my mom's friend works at. She had lots of support at dress rehearsal and at the recital. Chad and I really appreciate everyone that came to support Maddy. She was so excited that she got flowers after the show. My Aunt Bettie and her daughter Kim came down for the weekend, it was fun getting to visit with them, they came to recital to watch the girls. The graduation party was fun and the ceremony wasn't bad either. I can't believe my brother will be going off to the University of Iowa soon. This Friday, Chad leaves for Canada with the guys of my family, he will be gone for a week..wish me luck with the kids!! The busy weeks continue at the Klein house!

Chad stayed home with Tanner...it was hot and we didn't think Tanner would/could sit still for that long!!

Our 5 yr Anniversary

Wow I haven't updated in awhile...maybe since we have been really busy!! Chad and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary on May 22nd. My mom took the kids and we went to dinner and a movie. It was fun!! We don't have date nights very often so it was fun to get away for a few hours.
