Our Disney Vacation

We went on vacation in April and I still have not put any pictures on!! Well here we go then!

We finally took our 1st major family vacation! We took the kids to Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL with my parents (Nana & Papa), and my sister, Alexa, and my brother, Zach. It was the kids 1st time on an airplane, & Chad's 1st time to WDW. We had a great trip and we are hoping to take them down in a year or two.

Getting ready for take-off!!

Mommy and Maddy...her first time flying!!

After landing in FL we headed to the airport shuttle bus that would take us straight to our hotel, we were at our hotel an hour after landing. We checked into our hotel and off we went to take the bus to the Magic Kingdom! Chad, Madison, & Tanner didn't know what to expect as we walked down Mainstreet USA, at the end of the street stands Cinderella's castle. Madison was in aw of the castle. The first ride we did was the Tea Cups, the kids loved it! We spent the rest of the day at the MK and we were all exhausted at the end of the day!!

So was he!!
On Tuesday we went to the Animal Kingdom. We had a great time looking at the animals and Maddy had a blast on the water raft ride even though she got soaked both times!! Maddy and Tanner weren't so impressed with the It's Great to be a Bug show, my dad and the bigger kids went to ride the bigger rides, so we thought we would go into the Circle of Life Tree and see the show. It is a 3D show were they do a lot of effects and neither of them liked it! For lunch we ate at the Rainforest Cafe, that was also a new experience for the kids and Chad. We had an awesome time at the Animal Kingdom. Chad and I also got to ride the Mt. Everest Expedition ride, with my dad and the big kids. It was a super fun roller coaster! Thanks to my mom for keeping our kids entertained!

Wednesday was the water park. The weather was perfect. We got there early so we had lounge chairs by the kids water park. We took the kids through the lazy river a few times. We learned the hard way that they didn't like the water falls. Chad also enjoyed the HUGE water slide, the Sumit Plumit. I didn't brave that one, but I did go on a smaller slide. Tanner hung out with Nana on a lounge chair and took his nap, he wore himself out going on the kids water slide with his sissy.

Thursday we took the kids back to the Magic Kingdom and went character hunting with my mom. My dad and the big kids went to Universal Studios to do some of the big rides there. We also caught a few shows and saw the parade with all the characters. Maddy and Tanner met Mickey and Minnie, the Fairy Godmother, Sleeping Beauty (Madison's fav), & Belle. Tanner even picked up a southern accent which was way too cute!!

Friday we went to Disney's Hollywood Studios. The kids got to meet even more characters! Chad and I got to ride the Rockin Roller Coaster which was awesome and the Tower of Terror. Thanks again to my mom for watching our kids! We also watched lots of shows. The kids loved the Playhouse Disney show, which had all their favorites in it. We had a great time and it was a fairly relaxing day!!

On Saturday we took a trip around the world at Epcot. Tanner spent a few hours with my mom while Maddy went and enjoyed some rides with us! Luckily she was tall enough to go on the Test Track (it wasn't her favorite), and we also did the Soaring ride (she really thought she was going to kick the people on the screen). We also got to meet even more characters, Maddy was in heaven!! Tanner slept on our walk around the world! Saturday night we went back to Hollywood Studios for the Fantasmic show and I'm glad we did!! It is a water and lights show and it was soooo neat.

And Tanner slept!

Sunday we took the kids back to Downtown Disney and looked in the shops and tried to enjoy our last day in sunny Florida. My dad and the big kids went park hopping to ride all their favorite rides. We did go to DD a few different nights during the week for dinner, we ate at Planet Hollywood, House of Blues, and the T-Rex restaurant.
In between visiting the parks we also had some fun at our hotel. We stayed at the Carribean Beach Resort, it is layed out in a circle and it took about 3 minutes to walk from the bus stop to where our room was. They had a pool close to our rooms, or they had a bigger pool in the main area where they also had a bar and food. We did swim at the hotel a few times. They also had white sandy beaches where they had playground equipment. The kids enjoyed playing at the park till it started raining on us!! We had fairly good weather for our trip, if it rained it never lasted to long and it wasn't to hot either.

Our last night at the hotel.

These pics are just a few, we took over 400 pics while we were gone!! hope you enjoyed our pics...sorry it took so long to post them!!

We had a fun time in Florida and it was nice to have my family there to help with the kids! We really are hoping to take the kids back in a few years when they are a little older.
